Founded in 1978, Best Roofing has built a reputation as one of South Florida’s premier commercial roofing companies by delivering exceptional customer service to its roofing repairs, restorations, and re-roofs.
Best Roofing’s documentation process revolved around physical manila folders and uploading photos from their camera roll to OneDrive: Their crews would take photos on their phone, attempt to find the correct job folder in OneDrive, and patiently wait while their 100+ photos uploaded to the drive (which took anywhere from 10 – 50 minutes depending on their connection). Often, their crews would just avoid it altogether because of how difficult it was.
They had a solid tech stack, including their homegrown CRM, FollowUp CRM. But they were lacking a photo, video, and job site documentation solution that could scale alongside their business. Best Roofing was aware of CompanyCam for a while, but it wasn’t until Ian Wallick saw how his brother’s roofing company was using CompanyCam that he signed up to try it out.

With all of their projects synced with their CRM, there is greater transparency into the business’s day-to-day operations, making it easier to locate the photos and job site information they need.

Things change constantly, so being able to update permits, material reports, MSDS, and more right in the Documents section of CompanyCam has helped keep projects moving along smoothly despite those changes.

A salesperson goes out to a roof to make counts, take measurements, grab core samples, and document the entire process in CompanyCam so that their estimators can see the story of the roof and estimate it accurately. This leads to quicker turnarounds and more bids out of the door.
Administrative
Because they specialize in commercial and multi-tenant properties, they often work with vendors in the mechanical-electrical space. Now, the office staff can send photos from CompanyCam to those partners, saving them a trip and speeding up the quote process.
