You already know and love CompanyCam for its simple-to-use project organization and photo capture.
But if you’re new to the app or haven’t had much chance to look around, you may not know about some of our other features in CompanyCam that can centralize your work, reduce the number of apps used, and save you money.
That’s what this blog’s for, so let’s get to it. Here are the five that made our shortlist:
Pages
Pages is our new freeform digital notebook. You can use Pages to jot down quick notes, create daily logs, build materials lists, and more.
You can even include your project photos in line with your text so your team knows exactly what you’re talking about. And we even provide a few templates to help you get started.
Pages eliminates the need for your device’s default, non-collaborative notes app and any other third-party ones you might be using, allowing you to keep your work notes alongside where the rest of your work is happening — in CompanyCam.
Company Dashboard
The Company Dashboard is the activity hub of your CompanyCam account. It allows you to see at a glance who is up to what and when they’re doing it.
You can sort the Dashboard by different timeframes, allowing you to track employee use, coach them on areas of improvement, and decide if you have the right people with the proper permissions active in your account.
You can even track what your collaborators are up to. So, if you’ve set specific photo or task expectations with them, you can be sure they’re holding up their end of the bargain.
Note: This is a Premium feature. Visit your billing page to upgrade, or email success@companycam.com to learn more.
Signatures
CompanyCam Signatures, our digital signature solution, allows you to request, track, and collect signatures without leaving the app (or the job site).
This $50/month add-on allows everyone in your account to sign and request unlimited signatures on the Documents in your account.
You: “Hey, blog guy, how does a $50/month add-on save me money?”
Me: “Because it’s less expensive than other popular digital signature tools that charge per user and/or signature. It’s easier to budget for $50/month than it is around an ever-changing monthly number. Best of all, Signatures is a month-to-month thing. So if you decide it’s not for you at any time, you can cancel without any hassle.”
If you haven’t already done so, try Signatures and see if it’s for you!
Payments
Having a different tool for every single task is annoying, so we added getting paid to the list of things you can do without leaving CompayCam.
Payments is a simple way to request and collect digital payments of up to $5,000 from customers. All you need to do is type a number and send the request to a customer, like Venmo or Cash App.
This isn’t a full-featured invoicing or quoting tool, but it does put your company in a position to offer more payment options to customers past cash and checks.
Want to give Payments a go? Open a recent project in the app, navigate to the Payments tab, and follow the prompts!
AI Tools
CompanyCam’s suite of AI tools can generate shareable overview docs, organized notes, and summaries for your team — without typing a single word.
- Walkthrough Note: This powerful tool allows you to walk through the job site, speak your observations, and take photos — all in one go. Create various AI reports from your walkthrough, such as summaries, progress recaps, and daily logs.
- AI Summary: Generate an AI-powered headline summary with photos. This makes it easy to add context to any Page, perfect for sharing with your team and customers.
- Progress Recap: Get an AI overview plus photos and project details. This feature summarizes your selected photo group, giving you a clear snapshot of where the project stands.
- Daily Log: Combine your AI overview, photos, project details, and to-do lists. This helps you maintain a daily record of activities and set action items for your team.
Integrations
We know that we’re not the only app you use to run your business. We also know that juggling multiple apps can become time-consuming if they’re not set up to work together.
That’s why our product team invests tons of time into building integrations with our growing list of CRM, field service management, and sales quoting partners.
We integrate with more than 50 leading construction software to help get your CompanyCam photos to and from the other tools you use without spending hours in the office downloading and uploading.
We also built a browser extension that works with Chrome, Brave, and Edge browsers to help users move their CompanyCam photos to other sites we don’t directly integrate with, like Gmail and Facebook.
Automating more processes equals less time in the office and more time to be out on job sites or selling.
The deeper you get into our features, the more efficient your work becomes and the greater return you get on your investment in our app.
If you want to dive deeper into these (or any of our features), check out our weekly classes. Our customer success team hosts live walkthroughs of new features, refreshers of our mobile app and desktop features, and more. Classes are also the perfect place to send any new hires who you want to get up to speed quickly.
