If you’ve been looking for faster ways to track work, share updates, and get paid, this list is for you. These CompanyCam tools are built to solve common job site problems, like missing info, slow reporting, and payment delays.
Whether you’re managing teams, documenting progress, or keeping customers in the loop, these features help you move quickly and stay organized.
Documents
Documents offer a freeform space to collect and organize project photos, notes, and details. You can use them to quickly build editable and collaborative materials lists, daily logs, work summaries, or estimates — ready to share with customers.
Get Started: If you’re unsure how to use this feature, head to the Documents tab in the app to start building with one of our templates.
AI Features
CompanyCam’s AI tools help contractors turn everyday job site photos, notes, and conversations into useful documentation without extra admin work. From creating reports and summaries to generating checklists and translations, AI handles time-consuming tasks so teams can spend more time on the job.
- AI Reports: Create professional reports from photos and voice notes without manually writing or formatting updates.
- AI Summaries: Turn large groups of job photos into clear, shareable summaries with key details and context.
- AI Checklists: Build hands-free checklists from real job site observations to help crews stay organized and complete tasks.
- AI Recaps: Generate project progress updates using photos and activity history to quickly see what’s been completed.
- AI Translations: Translate project conversations and comments directly in the app to help teams communicate across languages.
- AI Captions: Add context to project photos by describing what’s happening with your voice instead of typing notes.
Project Tasks
Project Tasks are your go-to for creating quick materials or punch lists needed on the job. Tasks are located in the mobile app and on the web, so anyone in the field or office can quickly add items your team needs to address.
Pro Tip: You can create Tasks from a photo or video. So, as you review job site photos, you can quickly add Tasks from the photos that show up on the main project screen, where your team can easily act on them.
Map This Photo
If you need a refresher on which project the photo belongs to, Map This Photo will be your favorite new tool.
This tool allows you to view the location of the photo quickly. When viewing a photo, tap the map icon, and a map of the area will open up, showing:
- project name
- project address
- user who captured the photo
- direction the user capturing the photo was facing
This can instantly add context to a photo that is otherwise too zoomed in or out.
Note: If the map icon is grayed out, the photo was mostly likely captured on a device and uploaded to CompanyCam later.
Marketing Suite
Marketing Suite helps contractors turn completed projects into marketing content without creating everything from scratch. It uses the photos and project details already captured in CompanyCam to create and publish content across social media, Google Business Profile, reviews, and portfolio channels.
- Social media content: Turn finished projects into ready-to-share posts, captions, and reels for channels like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and more.
- Google Business Profile: Keep your business visible in local search by sharing project updates, photos, and business content directly from CompanyCam.
- Review management: Request customer reviews, monitor feedback, and respond to Google reviews without switching between platforms.
- Portfolio builder: Showcase completed work with an online portfolio built from your best project photos and details.
- AI-powered marketing: Generate project descriptions, captions, and content ideas using the work you already document in CompanyCam.
Sales Suite
Sales Suite builds on the job documentation you’re already capturing to generate proposals and take payment before the crew leaves the driveway. Five tools work off the same project data, so you can track, quote, and get paid faster.
- Project Boards: A live pipeline view with labels like Lead, Proposal Sent, Scheduled, Active, and Complete. Drag jobs between stages instead of digging through a spreadsheet to find out where a deal stands.
- Customer Directory: One record per customer tied to their full project history, so a repeat call means the contact info and past jobs are already there instead of scattered across old texts.
- Proposals: A quote builder that pulls photos and line items straight from the project, turning what used to be a kitchen-table job into a document sent in minutes.
- Price Book: Saved services and pricing that drop into any proposal, so nobody retypes the same line item on every job.
- Payment Processing: Collect money from customers without leaving CompanyCam. Set up Stripe once, then send a Payment Request that your customer can pay by link, by Tap to Pay, or by card you enter for them.
Offline Mode
Offline Mode keeps documentation moving when a job site kills the signal. Crews can take photos and videos in the Offline tab, and everything saves locally with GPS and a timestamp locked at the moment of capture. The queue uploads on its own the second the phone finds a connection again.
- Photos, videos, checklist fields, and project tasks all save to the device while offline, then process automatically once signal returns.
- A basement photo taken at 9:14 a.m. still shows 9:14 a.m. and the right address even if the phone doesn’t reconnect for hours.
- Crews can build documents and record walkthroughs while disconnected, though Checklists can only be completed offline, not created or edited.
- Any plan or permission role can use offline mode, but it only works on mobile.
