CompanyCam integrates natively with QuickBooks Online. Estimates and invoices sync automatically, and you can push job site photos onto them in a couple taps. Contractors using QuickBooks for accounting can connect CompanyCam in a few clicks with no manual file transfers, no double data entry, and no separate app for job documentation.
Your financials live in QuickBooks Online. Your job site documentation lives in CompanyCam.
What CompanyCam + QuickBooks Online Can Do

Attach job photos to Estimate/Invoice/Customer record: Yes, as a manual step (select the photos, then send them to QuickBooks)
Signature collection on synced documents: Yes, with CompanyCam Signatures enabled

How the QuickBooks Online + CompanyCam Integration Works
Once you connect QuickBooks Online and CompanyCam, the integration automatically:
- Creates a CompanyCam project when a Sub-Customer is created in QuickBooks Online, using the Sub-Customer’s display name and address.
- Syncs QuickBooks Online Estimates and Invoices tied to that Sub-Customer to the matching CompanyCam project.
- Adds labels to CompanyCam projects as actions happen in QuickBooks Online — Estimate Attached, Invoice Attached, QuickBooks Online Customer — so your team can see where a job stands at a glance.
- Lets you select photos from a CompanyCam project and send them directly to a QuickBooks Online Estimate, Invoice, or Customer record.
- Gives QuickBooks Online users a direct link to the CompanyCam project from the Notes section of the QuickBooks record.
Put Job Site Photos on Your Estimates and Invoices
A proposal backed by photos is more credible than one that isn’t. An invoice with before-and-after documentation is harder to dispute.
With CompanyCam photos syncing directly to your QuickBooks Online Estimates and Invoices, your customers can see exactly what you found, what you did, and what they’re paying for without you downloading photos from one platform and uploading them to another.
Your crew captures the job documentation on site. You pick the photos you want, and send them to the estimate, invoice, or customer record. That’s the whole process.
Get Signatures on Estimates and Invoices
When a QuickBooks Online document syncs to CompanyCam, your techs and field team can collect signatures on it directly in the app — without printing anything, without emailing a PDF, and without waiting until they’re back at the office.
If you have CompanyCam Signatures enabled, the document is signable the moment it syncs. That means estimates can be approved on site. Invoices can be signed off at job completion. And your office doesn’t have to chase anyone down for a signature after the fact.

Eliminate Double Data Entry and Keep Your Records Clean
Every time someone manually transfers information between QuickBooks Online and another tool, there’s a chance for a mistake. Wrong customer name, mismatched address, a photo attached to the wrong invoice. The QuickBooks Online and CompanyCam integration removes that risk.
Because project information flows between both platforms, your CompanyCam projects stay aligned with your QuickBooks Online records from the moment a Sub-Customer is created. No duplicate projects, no clerical errors, no reconciling two systems at the end of the week.
Your QuickBooks Online record is the source of truth, with the job site documentation sitting right alongside your financial data. That’s how contractors can stay organized as jobs and customers pile up.
FAQ
Does CompanyCam integrate with QuickBooks Online?
Yes. Once you connect the two, anything you create in QuickBooks Online (a customer, sub-customer, estimate, or invoice) automatically spins up a matching project in CompanyCam. From there, you can push photos into QuickBooks to attach them to estimates, invoices, or customer records. Invoices and estimates sync into the Documents section of the project, and the project gets an “Invoice Attached” or “Estimate Attached” label so you know at a glance. Payments sync too: collect one in CompanyCam and it shows up in QuickBooks Online.
What field service software works with Quickbooks?
CompanyCam is a jobsite photo and documentation app, and it connects to QuickBooks Online so you can attach photos to invoices and keep your records straight. QuickBooks Online is CompanyCam’s direct accounting integration. Beyond that, CompanyCam integrates with more than 60 platforms natively and thousands more through Zapier. That includes field service and CRM tools like JobNimbus (big in roofing and exteriors), SumoQuote (for branded proposals), and Jobber (scheduling, dispatch, and invoicing). If you use a different accounting tool that isn’t listed as a CompanyCam integration, you can usually connect it through Zapier or the Chrome extension
Can I sync job photos to QuickBooks invoices automatically?
Not automatically, and that’s on purpose. The integration runs on its own once it’s connected, but pushing photos to QuickBooks is a manual step you control. Here’s how: open a project the QuickBooks integration created, add your photos, and select the ones you want. Open the Actions menu, choose “Send Photos to QuickBooks Online,” then decide where they go: the Customer Record, an Estimate, or an Invoice. Photos land in the Attachments section of the Customer Record, or at the bottom of the invoice or estimate.
Does CompanyCam support Stripe or Xero in addition to Quickbooks?
Stripe, yes. Xero, no. CompanyCam supports Stripe through CompanyCam Payments, a built-in feature for collecting money on the job site. Customers can pay by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or ACH (all powered by Stripe), plus Tap-to-Pay for in-person collection. Payments is its own feature, separate from the QuickBooks integration, but the two can connect if you want them to. Turn on payment syncing in your integration settings and keep an active Stripe account with Payments enabled. Then, once a customer pays and the status flips to “Paid,” that payment syncs back to QuickBooks Online under the customer’s transactions. Xero isn’t supported. QuickBooks Online is CompanyCam’s only direct accounting integration.
How do I connect CompanyCam and QuickBooks Online?
It just takes a couple minutes.
- Go to the Integrations tab in CompanyCam
- Find the QuickBooks Online card
- Click Connect, then Continue.
- Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account and you’re linked.
After that, the integration does the heavy lifting: create a sub-customer in QuickBooks and CompanyCam builds a matching project, then syncs the estimates and invoices tied to it.
