If you’ve been looking for faster ways to track work, share updates, and get paid, this list is for you. These CompanyCam tools are built to solve common job site problems, like missing info, slow reporting, and payment delays.
Whether you’re managing teams, documenting progress, or keeping customers in the loop, these features help you move quickly and stay organized.
Pages
Pages offer a freeform space to collect and organize project photos, notes, and details. You can use them to quickly build editable and collaborative materials lists, daily logs, work summaries, or estimates — ready to share with customers.
Get Started: If you’re unsure how to use this feature, head to the Pages tab in the app to start building a Page with one of our templates. The template will fill the Page with an outline and project information.
AI Tools
Our AI tools remove the need for typing so you can focus on the job. Generate walkthrough notes, summaries, progress recaps, and daily logs using just photos and voice.
Walkthrough Note
Walk around the site, talk, and take photos. Our AI captures your voice and images and generates a ready‑to‑share Page that is fully editable and exportable as a PDF. Ideal for proposals, inspections, or daily logs.
AI Summary
Select up to 50 photos and get an AI summary with context built right in. This feature automates descriptions so anyone reviewing your work gets it instantly.
Progress Recap
Need a project snapshot? This feature compiles recent photos, updates, and status into a smart report. You can pull it from Pages, export it as a PDF, and share it with clients or teams.
Daily Log
At day’s end, pick your photos and let AI generate a daily log with tasks completed, photos, and a task list for tomorrow. It keeps your project history clean and organized.
Project Tasks
Project Tasks are your go-to for creating quick materials or punch lists needed on the job. Tasks are located in the mobile app and on the web, so anyone in the field or office can quickly add items your team needs to address.
Pro Tip: You can create Tasks from a photo or video. So, as you review job site photos, you can quickly add Tasks from the photos that show up on the main project screen, where your team can easily act on them.
Map This Photo
If you need a refresher on which project the photo belongs to, Map This Photo will be your favorite new tool.
This tool allows you to view the location of the photo quickly. When viewing a photo, tap the map icon, and a map of the area will open up, showing:
- project name
- project address
- user who captured the photo
- direction the user capturing the photo was facing
This can instantly add context to a photo that is otherwise too zoomed in or out.
Note: If the map icon is grayed out, the photo was mostly likely captured on a device and uploaded to CompanyCam later.
Portfolio Tools
Get your job site photos online and in front of potential customers. Prove your work and build trust with real project photos.
Our suite of Portfolio tools make it easy to market your best work directly from CompanyCam. Here’s how they work:
Showcases
Put your photos to work. Create a showcase to turn your project photos into a visual proof of your work. Share it to your website as a gallery or map, or add it to your CompanyCam Portfolio Site.
Website Gallery
Get visual credibility. Create a website gallery to add photos of your completed jobs to your website. Let customers browse your work by project type, product used, and more.
Website Map
Win local clients. Add an interactive map of your projects to your website. Show proof of jobs completed in your customer’s neighborhood.
Portfolio Site
Don’t have a website? No problem. Use CompanyCam’s portfolio website builder to create a no-code, public webpage that showcases all of your latest projects.
Publish Your Work Online in Seconds
Once you publish a Showcase, it will update your website live. New projects appear automatically; no need to re-embed code.
How It Works in 4 Steps
- Choose a project on the CompanyCam desktop app.
- Select your best photos that highlight key moments.
- Add descriptive titles and details.
- Publish the Showcase to generate embed codes for your gallery or map.
Payments: Collect Funds On the Spot
Payments make it easy to request and collect money directly from the job site or office. Use it for deposits, change orders, or small charges without needing a full invoice.
How to Request & Accept Payments
Enter the amount you want to request, add a short memo, and send. This option is ideal when you just need a quick deposit or extra funds for a change order.
-
Send payment links via text straight from the app or bring up a QR code for clients to scan.
You can also enter card info directly if needed.
Powered by Stripe, Payments offer secure processing and standard protections.
Offline Mode Enhancements
Because so many of our users work in areas with poor reception — mountains, basements, the boonies — we added more functionality and usability to our Offline Mode this year.
In addition to adding photos to recent projects, you can continue using Project Tasks and mark/unmark checklist sections. We added the “waiting to upload” icon to photos and videos taken during Offline Mode. Stay tuned for more to come!
