Every day, we see CompanyCam users share skilled repairs, renovations, and restorations they’re documenting with the app.
Seeing all that good work inspired us to do a little remodel of our own! We interviewed dozens of users and received feedback from hundreds more about how they use the app and what they’d like to see.
The result is a streamlined experience that helps you do more in less time by:
Putting your most used tools front and center
Grouping related features together
Making it easier to find and create AI walkthrough notes
What You Need, At Your Fingertips
We simplified the project screen and put the tools you use most front and center, eliminating the need to swipe around to find the features you want.
From the project screen, you can pull up your project contact information, find your checklists and tasks under To-Dos; access Pages, Files, and Reports underneath Documents; and request payments and create proposals under Payments.
At the top, you’ll see icons for sharing photos and accessing the project conversation. The Menu button in the top-right corner opens up options for editing project details, assigning users, adding labels, and inviting collaborators.
Related Tools, Grouped Together
We organized features by what you’re trying to do, so you can spend more time doing and less time scrolling.
- To-Dos is where you’ll find and create Checklists and Tasks. As a reminder, Checklists are best for documenting a repeatable process, like insurance claims or ensuring your team gets the necessary documentation on every job; Tasks are for quick reminders, like picking up supplies from the shop.
- Documents house all of your Pages, Files (formerly known as Documents), and Reports. Here, you and your team can easily find the AI-powered Pages, contracts, and other essential documentation they’ll need on the job.
- Payments is where your payment and mobile proposals live. At a glance, you can see the status of these requests, edit details, and accept payments via Tap to Pay.
AI Features, Easier to Find
In the previous design, there were about half a dozen taps between you and AI Walkthrough Notes when you opened the app.
Now, you can access AI Notes directly from the camera or by tapping the ✨ icon on any screen. It’s a small change, but it goes a long way toward helping you get into the app, do what you need to do, then hop back out.
Home Screen & User Menu
Last but not least, the home screen is now streamlined to help you jump into projects and photos in fewer taps.
On the home screen, you’ll see:
My Stuff. Find what you’ve recently worked on.
Project Map. Check out nearby projects.
Portfolio. Create and share project recaps.
Activity. Recent photos taken by you and your team.
Projects. Find nearby, recent, and starred jobs.
Also in the top left corner, you now have a new ≡ Menu that opens options to edit your profile, add users and groups, chat with our support team, and switch accounts.
