From Billing to Marketing: 3 Things Contractors Love About Galleries

3 things contractors love about galleries header

There are many ways to share your CompanyCam photos, from adding guest users and creating custom photo reports to building pages and publishing showcases.

But one of the most popular ways is still one that’s been in the app for years: Galleries.

Galleries allow you to pick and choose the best photos to tell the project’s story. You can then send them to a homeowner, realtor, insurance adjuster, or another subcontractor. Here’s what some of our users love about this simple feature.

1. Galleries help you get paid. Faster.

For P&B Intermodal, photo galleries are often the difference between getting paid or not. With

Dispatched technicians take before-and-after pictures of the repairs as they’re completing them. Then, the billing team in the office organizes the photos and generates gallery links to send in an email, along with an invoice.

For larger customers, techs often work on multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously, each requiring its own CompanyCam project and invoice. In the past, they created a new email thread for each invoice, with pictures attached, which could quickly become a communication headache.

Now, they can send a single email with all invoices attached and each matching gallery linked in the body, streamlining communication and speeding up the time between invoice and payment.

2. Galleries help educate (and sell) from wherever.

Bone Dry Roofing puts as much stock in educating customers as it does in installing a solid roof.

Adam (Bone Dry’s Sarasota branch manager) told us that after their team does an inspection, they review the photos with the customer, highlighting why an area of the roof failed and how they’ll fix it.

However, many of their customers do not live in southern Florida year-round, so they often inspect and work on roofs when the customer isn’t nearby. Galleries play a large part in educating and keeping projects moving, while they can’t be in the same place.

Every customer has different expectations and interest levels in a project, but all appreciate receiving galleries of photos and videos showing the before, after, and progress of a job.

3. Galleries simplify social media marketing.

Galleries are one of the most popular ways CompanyCam users share completed projects on social – just search companycam gallery on Facebook to see for yourself!

You can select the photos and videos that best tell the project’s story, then share that link directly on your Facebook page (or copy and paste the link to post on other platforms) from the app.

Many users also email the gallery to their customers, both for recordkeeping and to encourage them to share on their social media, text their friends, or use the images to leave a Google review.

Galleries are one of the easiest ways to share photos with customers, clients, and others outside your account. From proving your work to sharing on social media, galleries are a simple but impactful way to share.
