John and Jason also answered dozens of viewer-submitted questions and share tips that contractors, home services professionals, and their marketing teams can immediately put to work in their businesses.

Website Tracking and Analytics: Jason explains that contractors should think of their website as a 247 sales machine. That’s why they need to set up tools like Google Analytics and add tracking pixels on their site. This allows teams to monitor and monetize key actions like form submissions, phone calls, and chat interactions, as well as retarget site visitors.

Content Strategy: Jason shared that it’s key to consistently post educational content because it builds trust and awareness with your potential customers. That way, when they have a problem you can fix, they will search for you, not a competitor or contractor near me. Ensure your site is technically set up well and has content that answers common customer questions and addresses pain points.

Paid Ads and Retargeting: In Jason’s opinion, retargeting ads are some of the best money you can spend. That’s why it’s crucial to have your tracking set up correctly. These low-cost, high-value ads provide great ROI. Jason and John suggest that contractors and their marketing teams should err on creating ads in Ads Manager rather than boosting from the page because they’ll have more flexibility in testing and targeting.

There’s no silver bullet that will work for every business in every market, so it’s key to start posting, use the data to guide marketing efforts, and test different strategies and adjust based on performance.
