It’s been a busy few weeks since our last newsletter (RIP Appdates): We traveled around to Blueprint stops in Dallas, Denver, and Chicago; hosted our employees at our HQ for a week of work and fun; and pushed out a bunch of updates in the app (which is probably what you’re here for).
You can either read it in order or jump to the things you’re most interested in:
Integrations News
In addition to working on some trades-specific software integrations, our team’s focused a lot of their time on some big CRM requests.
Pipedrive
CompanyCam now integrates with Pipedrive! This integration allows you to create a project in CompanyCam from a Pipedrive Deal automatically. And any documents scanned or photos added to your CompanyCam project will automatically get uploaded to the Deal in Pipedrive.
You can also easily access your CompanyCam project by clicking the project link automatically added to the Deal in Pipedrive.
Zoho CRM
Zoho CRM helps you manage all your sales, marketing, and support activities in one robust and easy-to-use platform. And now, you can add your CompanyCam photos into your customer acquisition and engagement activities with this new integration.
HubSpot
HubSpot CRM is a powerful tool that helps its users streamline operations and increase productivity. And now you can automatically create a CompanyCam project from a Deal or Contact in HubSpot. After that, a CompanyCam project link will be auto-populated in HubSpot so you can easily find the photos and documents you need.
Integration Project Labels
Finally, you will see Project Labels automatically added to Projects created via integrations that we built and manage: Procore, BIM360, Autodesk, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Hover, Housecall Pro, Jobber, JobNimbus, and TeamUp — just a little extra automation to keep your work organized.
CompanyCam Premium Updates
Our product team’s always working on adding more value to your CompanyCam subscription. Here’s some of what they’ve been working on in the Premium tier.
Signatures in CompanyCam
Bids, change orders, and warranty work all go a little smoother when the work’s actually signed off on. That’s why we added Signatures, our new electronic signature add-on, to CompanyCam!
You can add fields, like signature, first/last, initial, and date, to any document you add to your account and then send for sign-off via email or capture live in the field in the mobile app! Once they’re signed, crews can get to work, and owners will have peace of mind knowing they have a backup just in case something comes up.
Project Templates
The easiest way to scale your business and provide consistent customer service is to make your work processes simple and repeatable.
Enter Project Templates! With these, you can automatically apply the same custom checklists and reports to every project you create in CompanyCam.
You can also set default project templates so you don’t have to select a template each time. This workflow works well with integrations, so your template will still be applied if you typically create projects from a CRM.
Ensure your techs and field crews follow the steps you want them to follow without asking them to reinvent the wheel whenever they’re on the job. And they’ll worry less about missing things and can spend more time working and solving problems as they pop up.
HALFTIME ⏱️
We’re throwing a lot at you in the first half of our newsletter, so take a sec to rest, drink some coffee, and watch a TikTok.
CompanyCam Pro Updates
Let’s get back to it. We updated a few more things for everyone on Pro and Premium accounts.
@ Mention Groups
We made our mentions more robust, allowing you to mention groups in project notes and photo comments in addition to the Project Conversation.
If you haven’t yet, set up your employee groups today. One step further, ensure your crews allow CompanyCam notifications in their phone settings.
Project Timelines and Galleries
I guess this one’s not so much an update as a friendly reminder: Galleries and timelines are a great way to share your work.
If you’re looking for easy social media content, create a gallery link from a recent job and share it on your social media channels. That way, your network can see your craft and share it with their friends.
Timelines are also a great way to keep current customers up to speed on a project. And they can be used as a closing lever with potential customers because it gives them a realistic look at what the stages and timeframe might look like with their project.
General Updates and Fixes
In addition to making the app more stable, faster to load, and just better for you to use, our team focused on these performance updates:
Updated camera UI and bug fixes
Checklist performance updates
Changed the way users are added and managed
Persistent project filters are also live on the web, so your filters stay selected if you click back out of a project to the Project Feed.
Pro Tip: Turn on automatic updates on your phone to make sure you never miss a performance update!
