Housecall Pro manages your scheduling, dispatch, estimates, jobs, and payments. CompanyCam captures everything that happens on site.
The Housecall Pro and CompanyCam integration connects both platforms automatically — so every photo, video, and file your crew captures in CompanyCam syncs directly to the active Estimate or Job in Housecall Pro, keeping your field and office on the same page from the first customer call to the final invoice.
How the CompanyCam + Housecall Pro Integration Works
Once you connect Housecall Pro and CompanyCam, the integration automatically:
- Creates a matching CompanyCam project when a new customer and address are added in Housecall Pro.
- Updates the CompanyCam project label when an Estimate or Job is created for that address — “Housecall Pro Estimate” or “Housecall Pro Job” — activating the photo and file sync.
- Syncs all photos, videos, and files uploaded to the CompanyCam project to the Attachments section of the active Estimate or Job in Housecall Pro.
- Adds a universal link to the CompanyCam project directly inside the Housecall Pro Estimate or Job for quick access from either platform.
- Automatically assigns users in CompanyCam to match assignments made in Housecall Pro, when enabled.
One thing worth knowing: Photos and videos won’t sync until an Estimate or Job has been created for the customer’s address. The customer and address must be created in Housecall Pro first — before the Estimate or Job — to avoid syncing and duplicate issues. By default, photos sync to the most recently created active Estimate or Job. To redirect sync to a different entry, open that Estimate or Job in Housecall Pro and click “On My Way.”
Your Techs Show Up Ready. Your Office Stays Informed.
Home service work moves fast. A tech dispatched through Housecall Pro doesn’t have time to hunt for a project link or ask the office which address to document under.
With the integration active, the CompanyCam project is already created and labeled before they pull into the driveway. They open CompanyCam, find the project, and start capturing — and everything they document flows back to the right Housecall Pro record automatically.
For the office, that means real-time visibility into every active job without a single status call. A service manager overseeing a dozen active techs can see what’s been captured, what’s been flagged, and what’s waiting on a customer decision — all from their desk.
If you want to take that visibility further, AI Walkthrough Note lets techs capture structured observations on site that turn into organized notes automatically, giving the office more context than a photo alone.
One Project Per Address. A Complete History of Every Visit.
Home service businesses run recurring jobs. The same customer might have three visits in a year — a spring tune-up, a mid-season service call, and a fall inspection. In Housecall Pro, each visit is a separate Estimate or Job. In CompanyCam, all of it lives under one project for that address.
That means when a tech shows up for the third visit, they can scroll back through every photo from the previous two — and see exactly what was found, what was fixed, and what was flagged last time.
That institutional is the difference between a tech who walks in blind and one who already knows the unit runs hot on the left side. And because every photo is organized by project from the moment it’s taken, that history is always there without anyone having to maintain it.
Build Stronger Customer Relationships
The moment a Housecall Pro job closes, the documentation your tech captured is already sitting in the customer’s record. That’s not just good for operations — it’s a customer experience differentiator. When a homeowner asks “what did you find?” or “why did that cost that much?”, you can show them, not just tell them.
Photos synced to Housecall Pro attachments can be referenced in follow-up communications, included in service summaries, and used to justify recommendations for future work. A customer who sees timestamped photos of what your tech found — before and after the fix — is a customer who books the next service call without shopping around.
Learn how to take job documentation photos that actually help your business to make sure every tech is capturing the documentation that turns a completed job into a long-term customer.
