November: the season of giving thanks, gourd pies, and wild dinner conversations you can never be prepared to have.
It’s also time for another edition of your favorite newsletter, CompanyCam Appdates. Because this is the third and final volume of 2022, we’ll try to stuff as much into this bi-monthly turducken of a blog as possible so that you have enough leftovers to last you through the end of the year.
Let’s dig in.
Sizzling and Souped-up Integrations
CompanyCam integrations help you automate and speed up your work, kind of like that electric hand mixer that keeps you from getting carpal tunnel when mashing potatoes for turkey day. Here’s the latest on integrations:
Souped-up: CompanyCam + Jobber Integration
Our product team has made a HUGE (and much requested) update to our Jobber integration: CompanyCam projects will be created when you create a Request, Quote, or Job in Jobber.
Now, photos will sync from your project to the correct request, quote, or job, making life a whole lot easier for your whole team.
Additionally, support for multiple jobs is now possible. So if you’re returning to the same home or property to do a service, your photos will be sent to the most current job.
To use this updated functionality, you’ll need to follow these steps:
Re-authorize the CompanyCam app on Jobber (Look for the banner at the top of the page).
Go to CompanyCam in your browser and disconnect and reconnect the Jobber integration.
Do a cool dance to celebrate all the time you’re going to save going forward.
If you have questions, check out the CompanyCam help site for more information.
Sizzling: CompanyCam + Roofr Integration
For those following along at home, our new Roofr integration has made it into every volume of appdates. And that’s not an accident. Users of our platforms have shared their gratitude for how easy it is to include their CompanyCam photos in their Roofr proposals.
Want to see how it works? We co-hosted a class with Roofr that covers everything you need to know about connecting this integration. If you’re interested in hearing more Youtube has you covered: How to Connect CompanyCam and Roofr.
Sizzling: SumoQuote Savings
Our integration with SumoQuote isn’t new. Users of both platforms have built beautiful reports and estimates (featuring CompanyCam photos) for more than two years.
BUT SumoQuote is always growing with sweet new deals and partnerships. Check out what’s new on their end.
Premium Feature Feast
A couple of months ago, we launched CompanyCam Premium, unlocking a new menu of features to choose from. Upgrade so you can chow down on these:
Video Walkthrough Mode
Sharing updates from the job site or touring properties has never been easier. With video walkthrough mode, your front and back-facing cameras simultaneously capture video, allowing you to show and tell what’s happening on your job site.
It’s like FaceTime, except you don’t need to worry about some random face filter popping up. Get all the details in this article.
Note: Sorry, Droids, this one’s only available for iPhone users now. But as soon as the API is opened on your devices to operate both cameras simultaneously, you’ll have access to this.
Offline Mode
Your work takes you to many places where you don’t get the best reception: basements, hills, your in-laws’. But with our NEW offline mode, your recent projects will still be at your fingertips no matter how far away you are from a good signal.
To access your offline projects:
Tap the blue camera icon on your feed
Choose the “Offline” tab at the top of the screen
Select the project and start documenting
Once you’re connected to data or wifi, your photos and video will start uploading to your project.
BONUS: Logo Stickers
Logo stickers are the simplest way to turn your everyday project management into quick, quality marketing. In about 30 seconds, you can go from snap and publish a photo in CompanyCam that includes your company’s logo on it.
Logo stickers are also powerful to add to photos you use in reports. Your logo adds professionalism and ownership over the content in those reports — just make sure you’re not covering anything important that a customer or insurance adjustor might need to see.
Collaborators, Mount Up
Our platform team made some exciting updates to the end-of-project collaboration process for collaborators. As of mid-October, when a collaboration ends, a copy of the project is created for the collaborator. Think of it as a party favor 🎉 for a job well done.
This project will look and work like any other project in a collaborators’ company and includes all the important project deets — title, address, contact info, photos, videos, and comments — and view-only access on labels, tags, reports, documents, and users.
In addition, users with Standard permissions can now invite collaborators, accept collaboration invites, and end collaboration. Collaboration.
Closers = Cash
In the spring, we launched our new referral program, CompanyCam Closers, where we gave you awesome swag for every company you referred.
In the spirit of thanksgiving, we’re changing up our rewards tiers. Starting mid-November 2022, your referrals will earn you CASH:
Small Company (1+ users) = $100
Solid Company (5+ users) = $250
Nice Company (10+ users) = $500
Big Company (20+ users) = $1,000
Huge Company (100+ users) = $5,000
The bigger the company you refer, the more money you get.
Oh, and the brand-spankin’ new Ford F‑150 is still up for grabs for our top referrer.
