Ricky Harmon - Balance Claims, VP of Sales and Business Development

Ricky Harmon has been with Balance Claims for 5 years and in sales for over 21 years. He currently serves as the VP of Sales and Business Development. Through those years he has gained a love of teaching contractors about supplementing and best practices in the roofing industry. Ricky onboards each new client at Balance and has helped multiple contractors adapt to doing business within a CRM or CompanyCam. In addition to the work he does himself, he oversees the sales and account management departments. Ricky’s creative strategies and efficient management have helped lead Balance Claims to the top of the industry and have helped numerous contractors grow and run successful businesses.

Derik Kline - Hail Trace, CEO

Derik Kline is a self-described weather nerd. From an early age, he has been fascinated by severe weather. A true Oklahoman, Derik went on his first storm chase at the age of sixteen. As the owner of Hail Trace LLC, he carries that same passion into every interaction. His drive to succeed has helped him establish the number one weather consulting business in the restoration and insurance industry. He is focused on bringing the best products and customer service to the restoration world. If he is not spending time with his amazing wife and four children, you can probably find him pursuing his other love, storm chasing.

Michael Gogan - CompanyCam, Business Development Manager

Michael Gogan manages the Business Development team at CompanyCam and partners with contractors and distributors to better document their job sites by getting all their photos and notes into one place. After spending nearly a decade teaching middle and high school social studies, Michael now spends his time helping contractors win with a wide array of tips, tricks and procedures. His unique mix of industry knowledge and education experience creates a perfect learning environment for contractors from all industries.

Benji Carlson - Breakthrough Academy, Assessment Specialist & Show Host

When Benji was just a teen, he exhibited his parents’ flair for entrepreneurship by founding a profitable small business. Later on, he built a highly successful franchise with College Pro Painters, earning accolades for having the most productive staff in the franchise network (and eventually generating over $1‑million in revenue). His ability to find the right people and put them in the right place made him a natural for the Assessment team at Breakthrough Academy, which he joined in 2017. As an Assessment Specialist (as well as co-host of the Contractor Evolution podcast), Benji has demonstrated a talent for distilling vast amounts of information to address the root of any problem so that contractors can work on their business instead of just in it. Consequently, he has assessed more than 1,000 trades companies and helped them get on the path to scaling.

Tiara Searcy - Atlas Roofing, Digital Marketing Manager

Like many of her colleagues, Tiara Searcy stumbled into the roofing business after over a decade of working in various corporate marketing roles. Searcy first landed a role as a digital content specialist on the Atlas corporate team, after two years she has moved up the ranks and is now the digital marketing manager at Atlas, overseeing all digital marketing programs for the Shingles & Underlayments division. Tiara has an extensive marketing background and is passionate about helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and represent their brands in the best light possible.

Ryan Groth - Sales Transformation Group, CEO

Ryan is a former professional baseball player who got into sales in the construction industry after his career in baseball ended. Growing up, his parents owned a construction company and he saw the pains that they went through due to not having a predictable, consistent sales system in place. Today Ryan has helped transform over 500+ contracting, trades, and building materials businesses through the sales transformation model.

Ryan Shantz - SumoQuote, CEO

With a love for sales, branding & marketing, Ryan was able to take his experience from the most brand sensitive industry in the world (fashion) and apply it in his approach to growing a roofing company to over 170 employees. And now, only 2.5 years young, SumoQuote is turning the roofing industry upside down with premium sales presentations/​quotes that are proven to close more deals. As CEO of SumoQuote, Ryan’s insights into roofing sales are affecting how an industry communicates with homeowners and connects them to contractors in a more engaging and powerful way.

Garrett Kurtt - OneClick Code, CEO

An all-around expert in the property restoration industry, Garrett has seen and done it all. He is the founder and CEO of Ecoblast Claims, High Impact Roofing, and most recently, OneClick Code. Garrett is a licensed adjuster and contractor with more than 3500 claims under his belt, a certified appraiser with over 500 appraisals to his name, and a tech innovator that is disrupting the industry. Being on both sides of roofing and claims, he saw that there was no one source of truth for building codes and permits, causing major disagreements between all parties. So, he created the app OneClick Code to solve those problems. Saving time and money around finding the right codes is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all this app does. OneClick Code is changing the industry.

Rob Soper - EagleView, Business Development

Rob has spent the last 3 decades in the roofing and remodeling industry in sales, sales management, and business development at the Contractor level, Material Manufacturing, and now the technology area. Rob has been with EagleView since 2017 as a Regional Sales Manager for the Central Plains and now as part of the newly formed Business Development team.
