4 CompanyCam Features to Use in 2022

Cycle this. Cooldown that. Last year, our engineers were busy building up to-do lists, showcases, reports, video publishing, and integrations to make 2022 the most productive year yet for our users.

Our product and engineering teams were wired in in 2021. They built new tools, updated core features, and streamlined user experience in the app and browser. All to help our users level up their productivity and processes this year.

1. To-Do Lists

To-do lists launched for all Pro and Premium users in late 2021 and have quickly become an essential part of our users’ standard operating procedures. Why? They’re helpful for everyone, from new hires to presidents.

Your crews in the field will love them because their tasks are laid out for them right in CompanyCam, just like their old punch lists. This means there’s no switching apps or sorting through text threads to find instructions, reducing the chance of communication breakdowns over what was supposed to happen and what happened.

Team members who are not on-site each day like them too. To-do lists can be set up so that a photo attachment is required for a task to be checked off. This allows those off-site to view progress as it’s happening and ensures consistent communication between the office and field.

Coming soon to a to-do near you…

Our product team has more in store for to-do lists, including template updates and subtasks:

  1. Subtasks will be added to to-do lists, giving you the ability to add interactive elements, like Yes/No, rating scales, multiple-choice answers, and open text fields later this year.
  2. Partner templates (created from extensive interviews with industry-leading manufacturers and professionals) will be available as an upcoming resource for key CompanyCam users.

2. Showcases

You asked for an easier way to publish projects on your website. Our product team answered by launching CompanyCam showcases in the fall of 2021.

If you haven’t installed showcases, you’re missing out. Here’s why:

They’re efficient

Showcases save you from doing double the work to get your photos on your website from your CoCam account. No more downloading and re-uploading. Simply select the photos and details you want to show up for the project, and it quickly updates the showcase on your website.

They’re sexy

Well, as sexy as a widget can be. Potential customers will appreciate how easy showcases are to navigate. You can include info like project type, products used, and location to help your website visitors start picturing how their completed project will look.

They’re transparent

Any contractor can post a photo of a completed project. But the real beauty of showcases is their ability to show off a project from start to finish. This unique look at the entire scope of the project shows that you’ve got nothing to hide and previews what it’s like to work with you.

To get started, all you have to do is install a bit of code. We’re more than happy to help out with that, too.

3. Integrations

2021 was a BIG year for CompanyCam integrations. We added seven custom integrations with Housecall Pro, Leap, Builder Prime, OneClick Code, Followup CRM, Get The Referral, and Jobber.

To learn more, check out our 2021 integrations recap, which dives a little deeper into how CompanyCam works with these magnificent seven and highlights updates we made to other integrations.

Cliffhanger: We have even more in the works for integrations in 2022.

4. Referrals

If you remember, our old program was all about mystery boxes filled with CoCam swag. But in the spirit of truth and transparency, our new referral program, CompanyCam Closers, features a tiered reward system that lays out the exclusive swag you can earn for referring your network to CoCam.

The exclusive Closers prizes range from CoCam sweatsuits and Carhartt jackets to grills and gaming PCs. One lucky (and qualifying) Closer will even go home with a brand new truck — more details to come.

2022 is shaping up to be the most exciting year yet at CoCam. Our product designers, developers, and engineers have even more new features and updates in the works that we can’t wait to tell you about.

Want to check out those features sooner rather than later? Apply to be in the CompanyCam MVP Program—our new (and exclusive) club for CompanyCam power users. As an MVP, you’ll be able to test and rate CoCam features before they go live, connect with other contractors and experts in our Facebook Group, and much more.

Christian is known round these parts as the silent wizard — whipping out editing, researching, and strategizing skills like it’s nobody’s biz. As a Content Strategist, he stays busy assisting our Product and Activation/Retention teams with all their content needs — all while staying as quiet as possible. (Heaven forbid he’d talk too much.)

After work, Christian can be found hanging out with his beautiful wife Ruth, playing catch with his dog Sunday, rewatching that one Indian reality TV episode he starred in (#famous), or making dumb vides on his fine. Go on, Christian. Share your work with the class.
